Program Description

This grant will support workforce development in the community. Libraries should have a clear target audience and need they are trying to address through this grant. Projects must include a strong programming component. Programming offered can cover a wide range of topics including dealing with ageism in the workplace, how to negotiate, evaluating benefits, or designing a home office. Projects can include skill training in areas like CPR, childcare training course, or coding to develop and strengthen the local workforce. Some funding may be used for space modification, resources, or equipment to establish or improve areas in the library for remote workers. Libraries should have vested partnerships at the proposal stage. Potential partnerships could include local businesses, government agencies, and other relevant organizations.
