The Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat) is a great resource for Massachusetts residents to access books from across the state and across library types. This toolkit is to help libraries in promoting ComCat as a resource on social media. Below are some graphics with suggested text and links to the graphics on the Awarehouse. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we created special graphics about ComCat taking a pause, and now for ComCat being back. We also have the regular ComCat promotion at the bottom of the page. These images and more are available for download from the MBLC Awarehouse.
ComCat during COVID-19
ComCat was paused until early September, and is now back to operating. Not every library is participating but the majority are and the graphics and text below can be used to promote ComCat restarting operations.
Graphics for Social Media
The following suggested text can be used for all of the graphics, but please feel free to edit it as you see fit, or use your own text.
The Commonwealth Catalog is on its way back! The majority of libraries in the state are now actively participating. For more information, visit www.commonwealthcatalog.org.
Regular ComCat Items
When ComCat is operating normally, there are a variety of social media graphics, posters, and bookmarks that can be used to promote it. To order print materials, please contact Matthew Perry.
