Commonwealth Catalog Toolkit

The Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat) is a great resource for Massachusetts residents to access books from across the state and across library types. This toolkit is to help libraries in promoting ComCat as a resource on social media. Below are some graphics with suggested text and links to the graphics on the Awarehouse. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we created special graphics about ComCat taking a pause. We also have the regular ComCat promotion at the bottom of the page. These images and more are available for download from the MBLC Awarehouse.

ComCat during COVID-19

Currently ComCat is paused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is not taking holds for books, and is expected back in September 2020. Below are graphics to help let residents know about the pause.

Graphics for Social Media

The following suggested text can be used for all of the graphics, but please feel free to edit it as you see fit, or use your own text.

ComCat is taking a "pause" but will be back in September. With over 350 member libraries at varying stages of opening it make take some time to get back to full speed. We appreciate your understanding and will keep you posted.

Regular ComCat Items

When ComCat is operating normally, there are a variety of social media graphics, posters, and bookmarks that can be used to promote it. To order print materials, please contact Matthew Perry.
