The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners has collaborated with the First Lady of the Commonwealth, Lauren Baker and public libraries across the state to create a video library with fun and educational videos to make home-learning a bit easier for kids and parents.
Here’s a few things to know about the site
- The site is for librarian videos. No vendors or performers, please.
- Librarians may upload their videos directly to the site and they will appear on the site usually within 24 hours. Here’s the upload: https://www.mavideolibrary.org/upload/
- You can also email us your video instead of uploading it. Please send it to Celeste Bruno. It will take a bit longer to post emailed videos to the site.
- Please be aware of publisher use restrictions. We’ve created a list of public domain stories for you to use: https://www.mavideolibrary.org/static/sites/www/files/pdfs/11130-1.pdf
- It is easy! If your video is already up somewhere else just email Celeste the link and we’ll add it; or if you’re creating a new video you can upload it right from your device to https://www.mavideolibrary.org/upload/
- The site gives you a unique URL you can post anywhere.
- No Advertisements.
- Each video will be reviewed before it’s posted and it will be professionally transcribed, increasing accessibility.
- Easy access for residents to more resources.
- Videos can be sorted by library and by type of activity.
- Graphics and a press release are available so you can promote the video library.

Note: we had to remove many of the story-time videos because of publisher restrictions
